About Us

OUR COMMUNITY

Promised Land Covenant Church SWFL, values the Bible as the word of God, the gift of God's grace and ever-deepening spiritual life that comes through a faith with Jesus Christ, the importance of extending God's love and compassion to a hurting world, and the strength that comes from unity within diversity.

Identity and Biblical Mission We are united by Christ and empowered by the Holy Spirit to obey the great commandments and the great commission: to love God with all our heart, soul, strength, and mind, to love our neighbors as ourselves, and to go into all the world and make disciples. Vision for Mission

We covenant:

  • to cultivate a community of worship committed to: prayer, preaching, and study of the Word; the celebration of the sacraments; and fellowship across gender, race, age, culture, and class.

  • to equip loving, giving, growing Christians to reach out with the good news of Jesus Christ – evangelizing the lost, ministering to those in need, and seeking justice for the oppressed.

PLC Church Fl is a missional church in Immokalee that was planted for the sake of the most marginalized, disenfranchised, and broken members of our community. The church intentionally targets the many individuals in our community who are perceived – or may perceive themselves – as unworthy of a place in the church. The church welcomes individuals whose life histories include struggles with poverty, addiction, incarceration, and other social ills.

The mission of the church is based on Matthew 9:12-14 (NASV) “It is not those who are healthy who need a physician, but those who are sick. But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire compassion, and not sacrifice,’ for I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners.” Revelation Church ministry calls those who need a physician, while humbly recognizing that we ourselves need continued healing, forgiveness, and restoration. Acknowledging that we are all broken vessels gives us compassion to engage those some consider “the least of these” and call them to come under the care of the same doctor who is treating our sickness.
